From someone who's done some racing on dirt and asphalt. In my opinion dirt is a equalizer in the haves and haves not scenario. Track conditions and driving ability keep the racing closer. Asphalt magnifies advantages. So therefore the dirt racer can feel he still has a chance with what they have while the asphalt racer has to have it all or know he's beat before he goes. So what do you do? Spend or quit?
