I got my early retirement package August 31/01.......and heard about the towers coming down on the morning news.... I seem to recall that it happened on either a Monday or Tuesday and my retirement party was scheduled for the Thursday of the same week. Received a phone call from my General Manager asking if I was O.K. to have the gathering postponed for a week or so...my answer was "I don't want any of my coworkers and friends in the air until the dust settles" also it's not the time to celebrate when we've lost a lot of our cousins south of the border from this attack". Our sales rep in NYC was actually near ground zero when the 2nd tower got hit and saw it first hand. But on a positive note I'm glad that the U.S. made a destroyer from the steel debris to show that they will not bend to the fanatics.. Sorry for the long rant... Regards + HH Bill
