I just left your stall at Nathan Philips Square where I had a jerk chicken lunch. I was there last week and enjoyed it so much, that I returned today. However, this meal left a bad taste in my mouth, not from the food but the attitude of your staff. To make a long story short, I asked the server if I could have a little more cole slaw, as she had barely given me a mouthful. Instead, another young lady (with cornrow braids) collecting the money yelled out to me -- without looking at how much coles slaw I had -- "It's five dollars. It's a serving." There is so much I could say about that response, but I don't have the time. The woman who was overseeing the servers (who looked a little young and inexperienced to me), took my meal, added the cole slaw and smiled apologetically. Seriously -- it's cole slaw, would this have really impacted your bottomline to give me a little more? As well, the point of the lunchtime promo is to encourage people to patronize your restaurant. That attitude was a complete turn-off. Why would I want to go to restaurant where people yell at me and make me feel embarassed for asking for what everyone else has (other people ahead of me had more cole slaw). I have already told several people of this experience, and plan to tell others. In hindsight, I wished that I had taken back my money and refused the meal. Afterall it's ONLY five dollars.
