I have a question about my registration papers for a litter I have. This is my first breeding and I plan to continue breeding and start showing soon. My question is, at the top of the litter registration application it says Bloodlines - __________ Now my male is heavily bred Sullivan and my female hails from DragonSlayer. My question is can I put my own bloodline (Skyrocket Bulldogges)? If not, how will I ever be able to 'create' my own bloodline? Any help would be appreciated. I am on my friends computer (changing satellite companies) but I will be able to get her to respond for me etc. Also one last question. I have a couple pups that have a blue hue to them (blue fawn I believe), one that looks to be a blue brindle, and one that is definately a blue. They are 4 weeks old but it looks like they have black noses. Is it possible for a blue to have a black nose? I am turning in the papers tomorrow hopefully and I am sort of confused on what coloring they are as they keep changing. Not sure what to reg. them as!
Color is totally irrelevant to me so I wont be able to contribute there. You should probably ask the registry what their policy is regarding the bloodline thing. Just because you bred a litter doesn't mean they are a part of your bloodline. A bloodline is one genetic family that can be traced for several generations. However, if you bred the litter, you put your kennel name on em.

Blue dogs will never have a black nose. However, dark(slate) grey noses can appear black when the pups are smaller. A black overlay can appear blue but is actually more of a smutty colour. You can e-mail me pics if you like?
