I THINK IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL WE WILL WIND UP BACK WITH A AKC ENGLISH BULLDOG...BECAUSE LIKE YOU SAID THEY LOOK LIKE MANY OLDES TODAY...AND IN JUST A FEW YEARS WE HAVE THE FAT OUT OF SHAPE AKC EB.....ANY THOUGHTS?

there is a pic of a man in a top hat and long coat (maybe in britain) and he has 4 or 5 dogs on a lead. my mom who was born in 41 said that the dogs that she had growing up (no pics) looked a lot like those dogs. she was raised on a farm and the dogs had to tend the livestock and be family guardians. i saw the pic on an Oldie site, but i dont have permission of the owner to copy and paste. he put his water mark on it.
