Everyone has their idea of what a perfect bulldogge is. It all comes down to preference. I used to breed Rotts before geting into this breed 9 years ago. I began with a certain bloodline. After a couple generations, I notice a more lanky, longer snout dog throuhout this bloodline. I then chose to acquire a dog from an olde breeder who bred a more cobby, bullier type. I breed my prior lineage dogs to my present, and I am pleased with the outcome. Many people don't want there dogs to be confused with pits, or englishes. So the muscle pit body with a big english head may be more common. Again this is me speaking for myself.
