If they didn't want Oldes to look like EBs, why did they name them Olde ENGLISH Bulldogges? Why not just Olde Bulldogges or Olde Thyme Bulldogges, something like that?
To a consumer looking for a healthier EB, that name connotes the breed a EB type of dog. Not an American, Pit or Bullmastiff type.
DL did the right thing when he changed the breed name for his dogs. Perhaps there should be several breed name changes with tighter standards to reflect the different types of dogs now being called Oldes, thereby minimizing the confusion about what you're going to get if you buy a bully type of dog.
