I understand what you mean Cyrus, but the con of these large registries is the money first mentality, just imagine the great shape all of those AKC breeds would be in if they tried to keep the dogs functional, especially the dogs in there working, herding & terrier groups! We would not have to recreate the bulldogs of old or when gene pools became to small they would approve a out cross to add new genetics, and keep the blood fresh. To me customer service is important don't get me wrong, there is nothing worse than waiting for MONTHS to get your paper work, but keeping the dogs true to there original job description is more important in my book.
