Having an active barrio-hood watch is the best way to prevent crime from occurring in your barrio-hood.
Hidden Valley Barrio has no problem with crime in their barrio. The population in this barrio is 500 people. Barrio residents are 200 and gang members of the Gossip Gang are 300 in the barrio. The Gossip Gang has control of the barrio-hood. There is no robberies from another barrio residents. Not even the police comes into this barrio-hood. They are afraid of them gangs. Other barrio residents are not allowed to come into this barrio-hood.
Some time ago, an Insurance man came to sell Life Insurance to the Hidden Valley Barrio residents and the Gossip Gang members approached the man and told him, "La Viva no vale nada", (Life is worthless) here in this barrio. So, get out of our barrio-hood, now!
What happened next, is no one can imagine. That the Insurance man ignored the so called Gossip Gang members, not knowing who they were. The Gang members saw that they were ignored so they went up to him, told him to get into his car and they ran him off the barrio-hood. No harm was done so they let him go.
Barrio residents has been telling this story to their children and grandchildren. Whether Is it true or not, the story telling still goes on in this barrio-hood up to now.
Others say that it was a man selling pots and pans and not an insurance man. The man ran off leaving his pots and pans behind, so they say.
In any case, both stories are told when the barrio residents and their children gather to past the weekend in a camp-fire to chat-chat. They party all night, Bar-BQ, eating pan del camp (Bread) and drinking (cerveza) beer all night. The Story goes on.
There you have it. Believe it or not. You be the judge.
Stay tune for more news.
