Hejolia report for 02122014.
Kingsville, TX. Hello again I am Veronica la Lebanese con today’s award winning barrio headline news:
New barrio Christmas lights come back since 1964.
Chicano Chinese restaurant closed down.
And finally a shout out to las chivas de califas.
Yesterday we were so glad que a few new friends have join our daily readers of our award winning barrio headline news. We welcome you with our wide opened arms. And that’s a promise.
After a few number of state, city, and county health inspectors visited “Chingo China in the hood restaurant” and they decided to close the place down for health violations. The Health Department conducts unannounced inspection of this restaurant and its Inspectors check for compliance in food handling, food temperature, personal hygiene and vermin control. Each violation of a regulation gets a certain number of points. At the end of the inspection, the inspector totals the points, and this number is the restaurant's inspection score—the lower the score, the better the Grade. In this case the score was way off the chart and had to close it down for the large number of violations it found. The owner of the restaurant Lianna Chow Domiques told us que thank god they didn’t open that special red door in back of the shed.
The real city and county employees finally lighted up the hood by placing the 1964 Christmas decoration as street lights to show that the city does care about Westside residents and its safety. As you might already know that the more lights you have on, the less chances you will get robbed. One barrio leader told us off camera and didn’t want us to use his name ( Juan Diaz) said que the only problem in making the barrio a safe place to live is who’s going to pay the electric bill?
Well there you have raza, have a great Tejano day and remember your business is our business and my business is none of your business, good day
