estinghouse barrio mall newsletter for 09232009.Cchwnnn. Kingsville,tx. Now from our mall office let go con Gloria Guerra.Hello again mi raza como estan todos and how are we today? Anyhow let’s go con our reporter General fideo Vermicelli.Hello raza y como estan. I am at the first floor at the office of St. Paul’s medical center where the folks here are preparing for all this rain. Since we live in a very low area, water has the bad habit of storming our front door. Now back to Gloria.Ok thanks General, But now lets go to our weather guy St. Juan Norteno con a brief weather report and how much rain should we be looking at?Si thanks Gloria well word from our weather central and our weather channel tells us que there is lots of green colors and a few red and yellow color on the screen that covers our area. So raza if you are made out of sugar for sure you will melt. Now back to you Gloria.Si St Juan, have you heard anything about the city asking folks to go to higher grounds? No Gloria we have not heard anything here in Kingsville Ok st Juan norterno con that good news. Anyhow raza lets go to our daily headline news:Several families gather for a prayer last night in front of our command post.A vato in the hood gets hit twice in one day and lives to tell the story And finally barrio stores sell out of everything. Yesterday afternoon our staff took a ride in the hood and visited our barrio stores and noticed que almost everything that a person would need were sold out. Like candles, food, water, and beer were the main topics sold yesterday says el senior Alex Collin owner of the apple house in Kingsville. Si it’s hard to believe que when in need people have cash. As you and I know it’s about the end of the month and usually people that shop here have used all their stamps but today for some reason cash was on high demand. In other news el vato loco chon Hernandez was a victim of a hit and run yesterday afte noon as he left work at a barrio car wash. It seems que chon based on witness didn’t notice que several dudes in a white trailer pulled by a white truck was following him down Main Street and where all of a sudden the truck and trailer ran him over. Thanks to the quick thinking of chon he managed to slide underneath the truck but the trailer got him by running over his left leg. The vato locos volunteer firefighters were called to the site of the accident. By the time the los vato got there chon had already gotten up and on his own will power started walking towards the other side of town where the real hospital is. But was unable to get there due to the fact que while trying to cross the tracks, he didn’t notice or heard the train coming. He was hit by the train and threw him back towards the hood a few hundred feet in air and landed on a tree that several city workers were chopping down. The city employees didn’t notice que chon had landed on top of that huge tree due to the noise the train was making as it rolled by. In these instances the men chopped the tree down and as the tree fell chon also fell on top of a passing dump truck headed towards the Westinghouse barrio mall. When the truck arrived at the mall it dumped the dirt it had onto the construction area at the mall right next to St. Paul’s medical center, where Mr. chon was able to crawl into the emg. Room wanting medical assistances. But had to wait for a while due to the fact que the staff was on a break. While he was waiting for assistance the same dudes that ran he over saw him at the mall waiting area and asked him if he need any help. Since chon didn’t notice who or what color of a truck and trailer that ran him over agreed to take a ride with them across the tracks. No word on Mr. chon Hernandez conditions. And finally last night a group of people gathered in front of our command post for a prayer session. The groups leader brother Dan told us que they had come to our command post and pray and asking us not to do anymore reporting on how bad tortillas are in the hood. Since our news service has been making a big issue in the hood over twenty people have either been fired or laid off from tortilla companies or makers due to our investigating reporting and this group are begging and praying que we don’t do anymore complaining about las tortillas. This issue will be discussed con Urbano Yosabatodo tomorrow by our creator Daniel.Ok raza, there you have it for today. As you can see it has been real exciting down here and we hope que todos stay dry. I am la china Cano.
