Hey there Israel - the quaint little town of Claremont is about to be served a heaping dish of rancheras, polkas, blues and oldies this coming Saturday at the Folk Music Center. We'll be joined by our friend, Tom Corbett, songwriter extraordinaire and mandolinist (or is it mandolinian?). You can get your tickets now by calling the Folk Music Center.

Los Pochos Semi-Plugged w/ Tom Corbett - 7:00pm
Folk Music Center
220 Yale Ave
Claremont, CA 91711
Admission: $10

This performance will be a current take on the old-style tradition in conjunto, which used a tololoche (upright bass) and minimal percussion (early on, a small wooden block was used). Replace the tololoche with an upright electric and wood block with a snare drum and you have 'Los Pochos Semi-Plugged!'
We've got a bunch of shows coming up this Fall including a festival in Encino, a dance in City of Industry and a procession through East Los Angeles to honor our antepasados. I'll send you more info soon.
Hasta pronto!
