Hello everyone I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Can't believe how hot and hummid it has been lately. Just wanted to give an update on some National news regarding Arizona's own Monica Castro. A graduate from The University of Phoenix and very talented , Monica Castro is representing Arizona in this years 29th Annual Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio Texas. Monica is nominated, one of top 5 nominees for category, Best New Female Vocalist of the Year. The results will be announced July 17, 2009 at Lat Villita Assembly Hall in DownTown San Antonio Texas. So thank you to all of you who participated and got involved in this years voting process.
The Tejano Music Awards continues to promote Up and Coming talent from radio podcasts to participation in their annual event, The Tejano Music Awards. It helps Tejano Music to continue to leap forward through time. Arizona's Own Up and Coming, Monica Castro will be participating by presenting an award (TBA) at this years event. So, CONGRATULATIONS MC..

This week Monica Castro finds 2 songs on this Sunday's Tejano Gold Top 20 Countdown. It is the only syndicated Tejano radio show in the United States and in Mexico. The two songs are #11 Voy A Pelear Por Su Amor and #17 Pobrecita Mi Madrecita (held #1) on Rudy Trevino's Top 20 Tejano Gold Countdown. You can tune in on www.tejano1600.com at 10am Az time or 12pm Tejas time. It is a two hour show which announces the Top 20 Songs in the U.S. and in Mexico.
