Los Lagos Beach, Ca. My name is Esperanza Constanza Angelita Luz de la Torre Garcia Gomez Gonzalez reporting from the west coast. For short, you call Esperanza Luz de la Torre. Los gringos at the mall call me Hope which means Esperanza and others call me Light House which means Luz de la Torre. Either way will be fine with me. I'm the manager of "All Women Security Guard" compannee and making sure everyone is safe at Camino de los Mares barrio Mall in Los Lagos Beach, Ca. After the ThankYouGiving day is over and Christmass season is around the corner, the barrio mall has been very crowded and that makes us the security guards be more alert for those who do shop-lifting, pick-pocket and who knows what else. Anyways, the other day that I was doing my duties walking at the mall, I notice a for hire sign at the Pinky Underwear store window. This what the sign read:
PINKY UNDERWEAR
FOR HIRE IN ALL POSITIONS
Me, being a woman and a security guard on duty, I decided to invetigate this Pinky Underwear store for women. To my surprise, I notice that they had young males and females working there. I asked one of the young girls that I wanted to see the store manager. She then took me to the back of the store and I entered her very elengant office. After we intruduced each other, I asked, about the for hire sign on the window and why was she hiring more people. She said very calmly, we got to keep up with the buying of red underwear customer's demand. I asked what you mean? She continue saying New Year is approaching and young girls and women are buying red underwear to show-off just after the ball drops at mid-night on New Year. They do it in New York City, New York so we are now doing it here. It is now a custom here in all the barrios in the area, some people are dropping their balls at mid-night, didn't you know? I couldn't help laughing out loud and she asked, why are you laughing? I said, I am new on this barrio and I never heard of such thing as to some people dropping their balls. She contiune saying, you got a lot to learn about our customs here in the barrios. Some people dropping their balls and red underwear is a thing that goes together, hand in hand in all the barrios. Then I said what about the sign for hire? She asked, are you looking for a position? If you are, we rather you leave the front parking space for our customers and you park in back of the store. For applying on any position its easier entering from the rear. Knock at the door, the office is just a few steps for your convenience. Take this application, fill it in and mark any position that you want and bring it tomorrow evenning.
