I wish all of you a safe and happy Labor day weekend. I hope we'll all take some time to pray for the Mississippi Delta and it's people,the victims of Katrina. Also for the President and all the government agencies who are trying to
reorganize. If we can contribute to an organization like the Red Cross it will help. Many churches, including mine, are donating all collection plate proceeds from this Sunday.
The annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon also begins on Sunday, and Jerry has pledged a sizable portion of their pledges to relief from Katrina.
I just sent a scathing e-mail to the ABC Network, regarding the disgraceful way Ted Koppel mercilessly badgered the Director of Fema last night on Nightline. No one could have been totally prepared for the enormity of this disaster. It was probably the most devastating catastrophe of nature in our history.
I hope we Americans will really try and work together on this one, and stop pointing partisan political fingers.
