well, it's a lot of work, but very rewarding work! I've spent many, many hours poring over datasource, many hundreds of photos, and lots of related paperwork striving to restore identities to the Trexler horses. Trexlers aren't saying a darned thing to help... and they didn't seem to believe in registering their production. But I've been able to ID 18 of the older horses, mostly positives with a couple of probables.
I've got a good team in Jennifer and Brenda - we're all on the same page. Hopefully, this will not only be just the beginning for the arabian community, but will spur other breed and discipline organizations to pick up some of the slack.
I got the press release into TheHorse.com yesterday - and Beth already has a contact from someone who read the release and wanted to get involved in supporting the CA study. So with luck, we're on a roll!
