I am sorry to report that on June 22, 2007 AZH NABORR was put to sleep. He was 33 years old.
He had been having trouble lately,in that when he would lay down to sleep he would need help getting up. The vet had us put him on a course of Banamine for ten days and then had us switch to bute once a day in the evening. That seemed to do the trick as the last three and a half weeks he had been doing great with NO issues.
A week ago Friday he was unable to get up, even with our help. The vet was out and although a valiant effort was made to try and get him up, it was decided that he was not going to be able to get up again.
AZH NABORR was the Number One Siring Son of the Legendary *Naborr. He sired over 300 foals.
I believe he was one of the last living sons of *Naborr. He is the sire and grandsire of Champions all over the World. He sired winners in the show ring, the race track, and endurance riding.
He came to me at the age of 21 rescued from the feedlot in Chino where he and his entire herd of 20+ horses had ben sold.I felt very fortunate to have him come into my life.
We have truly lost a legend of the Arabian Breed.
God Speed my dear friend, until we meet again.
(*Naborr x Azhderiane)
