Posted by stephani/va I had a super ride on Sunday. We don't have a riding ring/pen on our farm. We do back up to 4000 acres owned by a lumber company (ie heavily wooded, logging and hunter roads, loads of wildlife) which we can ride, and across the road the other neighbor has 200 acres which is less wooded with nice hunter roads. The fall leaves are peaking right now, the colors were spectacular. The horses are settling into trails, they are attentive and seem eager to please. All in all, it was a great day. Hope you get to ride and see some nice sights. Steph

we're in Amelia County. It's just under 50 miles southwest of Richmond. Is a rural farm county, mostly beef, dairy, chicken farms. A fair sized Mennonite community.
