Posted by Stephani/va (stephani) on 10/20/2006, 12:50 pm I will ride LeChuza (Argentinan polo pony) and probably Smokey. Chuza has taken me on a few wild bush rides, but over time we have come to ride bareback with a halter and lead rope. Not that I'm a great rider, just that I have finally earned her trust. She's no longer afraid and is content to go see some sights and isn't crazed to get back home. Smokey is huge, almost 17.1 but I don't know his breed. He was given to me 18 months ago for safe keeping. He's blind in one eye, but was ridden and shown by a teen girl. He's gaited, I think he might be TWH. Hope y'all have a groovy weekend and get to do the things you love the most. Steph

I'm trying to get a regular schedule to ride at least 2 of my horses each weekend. I know that some folks are able to ride as often as they like, just doesn't happen that way for me. But I am trying to change that. Our property backs up to 4000 acres owned by a lumber company. Lots of great trails, wildlife and scenery.
