I received a note from our friend Sheila (who has another TIER friend) about Borrowed Time's mom, Jan. We've been friends for 15 years, and this hit me like a ton of bricks: 
has been diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukemia.
One week ago she was taken into Georgia Medical Center with severe anemia and received 4 pints of blood and extensive tests. She was released to go home on Friday morning and by that afternoon her physician called and told her the news.
She entered Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville Georgia yesterday morning (Monday 10/16/06) and will remain there for 5 to 6 weeks taking chemo treatments.
She is in the advanced stages and was told she only had 3 months if she did not agree to very agressive chemo treatments. With the treatments, her outlook could be quite good.
Please add her to your prayers.
