Sure wish we could step back in time & recapture what we once had. It was great sharing the ups & downs.
Two wks ago today I brought home 2 older TB mares. Thin & in dreadlocks. One was once a hunter/jumper, Ask Electra, and the other, Zippen Miss, won over $62,000 on the track. Electra, Lexie, has already been placed in her last home with a friend of mine. She'll be teaching an 8 yr old little girl how to ride & love horses. Zip will remain with me forever. She suffered chips in her left fetlock & fractured the right. She's sound & already thinks she's an arab. <g>
Last night I brought home a 20 yr old Stargard daughter. She of course is also thin with the battle scars of life. What a stunning mare! I hope to have her placed with another friend. At this rate, I'll run out of friends. LOL
I keep threatening to disconnect my phone so I won't get these calls. But.......I won't.
