Posted by Dianna C There are 80 arabians in Napa who need new homes before 8/1. Animal Control will seize any remaining horses as charges have been filed against the owner. These horses are on 50 acres with 15 stallions & the mares in individual bands. 10 are broke to ride, the rest are WILD. The contact person told me most have *Bask breeding. 20 arabians in the Sacramento area are for sale at $500.00 each. These are race track broke horses that, for the most part, were too slow. There are a couple of broodmares in this bunch. Other than the broodmares, who are in early teens, the rest are 3-6 yrs. 80 arabians outside of Sacramento are in need of new homes. These are not rescues, per se, because they've been taken care of (so I've been told). The owner is needing them placed asap. I'm going Sunday with my trailer & plans to bring home 2-3, if possible. The contact person said a few were broke to ride. Pedigrees unknown to contact person. Ages 2 months to 24 yrs. I have contact info on all three situations if anyone is interested.
