While he's not exactly a rescue, my new-to-me guy has been standing in a stall 23 hours per day with a brief daily turnout in a small paddock, for years. Although he's 18 he looks a lot older: not much muscle, and his back is starting to sag. I'd welcome any/all suggestions for helping him get fit again, slowly, so he won't get hurt. He's 17-2 (so the back has a long way to fall) and a stallion.
