I desperately need to find a good home for my Saddlebred gelding. He is 7 years old, about 16 hands and a chestnut. I bought him when he was 2 right before his old owner was going to send him up north to an auction where most of the horses go to slaughter. He was in such bad condition my vet told me to try and bring him back, but I wouldnt. Instead I promised him a great home forever and that I would never sell him. Now 4 years later its come to a point I just cant afford to keep him anymore. I need to find him a home ASAP before the owner of the stables gets rid of him. I know she wouldnt intentionally send him to a bad home, but I want to make sure he gets a really great one. He is a very sweet and loving horse that loves to follow you around get lots of attention. He gets along with most horses and is currentlty kept in a pasture. I have ridden him, but wouldnt not consider him broke. He doesnt do anything bad and doesnt try to get you off, but he just doesnt know anything. He would make a great project horse or even a great back yard pet.
