
Posted by Connie Personally, I would rather see an animal shot than put through the hell of the slaughterhouse. At least the downers won't need to be dragged on and off a trailer and put through the torture of being dragged into the slaughterhouse to be killed. If they're not going for human consumption, they don't need to be alive when they're bled out, so they can be put down on the farm and a rendering truck can pick them up. I'm sure there are loopholes, if they look hard enough, but it shows the huge support for ending slaughter for human consumption permanently. Hopefully this will help get the 503 Bill passed that will do this. Thanks for your support!

Your questions are legit. But I think since these companies are operating in the US, they must use the USDA to inspect (which I might add doesn't do a terrific job - they put in their time)
