Did your vet do the pre-purchase? I think I'd discuss the irregular heart beat w/whoever did the pre-purchase. I would also have her checked by an equine cardiologist. It might be a little pricey, but well worth it. You don't want to take a chance if infection is a possibility. I had a gelding who seemed to skip a beat & it turned out he had multiple heart murmurs. This was my endurance horse who continued to complete on the advice of the cardiologist at UCDavis. If ulcers are suspected I'd probably have her scoped. I saw this done a couple of yrs ago & the vet doing it said it's the only way to positively diagnose ulcers. Pasture would be good because horses are grazers & their gut needs to have continuous feed so the acids don't cause damage. Sounds like you're on the right track. Good luck.
