... be a tumor or other internal issue. We had a dog die due to a tumor on the spleen that grew large and burst (he basically bled out and there were no outward signs of the tumor). And then there is the obviouse- he could have been kicked by another horse. Accidents happen and I would rather have my horse live happly with other horses (and the risk of getting a fatal kick) then in an isolated padded stall. I'm sorry for your loss, but it probably was a "freak" thing whether medical or an accident
