Connie ----- Original Message ----- Although I am still in a state of shock, I am delighted to report to you that the Sweeney/Spratt amendment has just PASSED, with a huge margin (larger than that of the Rayhall/Whitfield wild horse amendment). This is an incredible victory against considerable odds and foes, and portends really well for passage of HR503 in the future. This could not have been done without the constant pressure of constituents like YOU! THANK YOU for a job very well done. On to the Senate - if it passes a similar version, this will be a major step down the already long road to ending horse slaughter in this country.
