Posted by tiervoluntier We need your donations by MAY 28, but we need them as early as possible. Please get them to us or arrange for pickup ASAP. All donated tack must be logged, evaluated, priced and tagged before the sale. It would be a great help if you clean items before donating them. If it looks like it was taken straight off the last horse that wore it, we have to clean it. This is a time consuming process. Right now my "crew" consists of me and two teenaged boys (when they're in the mood) under the supervision of my 2 dogs, who aren't much help since they have no opposable thumbs, but at least they look busy. Gift buckets are a big favorite, but the place that was going to donate items for our gift buckets didn't come through! Our past gift bucket contents included brushes, combs, hoof picks, shampoos, etc. So if you catch a good sale and pick up a spare you'd like to donate, please send it to us! I also need (when do I not?!) volunteers for the day of the sale, June 4, especially the set up part. The tack is coming in on a trailer, and I need help unloading and setting up, starting at 7 AM (the good part is that since it's June it will be the coolest part of the day and you'll then have your entire day ahead of you to do other things). <G> Please give us at least an hour or so, it will be a great help, and the TIER horses get the benefit of all our efforts.
