Posted by Susanng Kathy (or anyone that wants to use their horse's hair for a memento) here's an idea for a little of his hair, though I don't know if this is what you might have in mind. There is a type of pottery finish that's related to Raku, if you're familiar with that, but it uses horse hair. As soon as the pot is finished firing, they lay a little horse hair on it and it melts and squiggles and forms neat patterns like a sort of filigree. I know of an artist that does it if you're interested. And in fact it only takes a little horse hair and maybe you have enough that you could do this and something else, too. I deeply sympathize, esp as I'm facing the same sometime probably in the next few years. But I can imagine Chauncey, flying without wings, playing with all the others.
