She had a little swelling and heat above her fetlock at first, and I poulticed it for a couple days. Now it's only very slightly swollen with little or no heat. She has windpuffs and tended to stock up when we first got her but she's in a pasture now so the exercise keeps her from stocking up but it's not unusual for her to have a little swelling above her hind fetlocks. She could have got cast, you're right, or maybe she was giving her pasture buddy what-for (as she sometimes does) and hurt herself then. It's definitely better than it was but there are just some funny things about it... maybe I'm just paranoid. Absolutely if it doesn't improve we'll call the vet. Thanks for your help and I'll let you know how she does.
