Posted by R.E.K. Did she lay down and get cast? She might have cranked the leg and might need chiropractic attention... Its hard to say without physically looking at the mare, but to me it sounds like an abscess. I will hold a good thought that its something simple like that. Please keep us posted and if she continues lame I would call the vet. Good Luck and like I said keep us posted.

An abscess?? Is her leg swollen and warm? When Royal was blowing out abscesses he swelled and could barely walk. (yeah I was in tears)
