Posted by TerryF I know even in those days, people would put some fish back - but not say so. They talked of their catches - but not their releases. They were fishing within the limits as they applied in those days - whatever they were. In those days, going to Kalbarri was an EXPEDITION - not your weekend getaway, and there weren't very many people fishing there. And there were professional fishers taking quantities of fish - as they were entitled to under the rules of that time. For every successful trip like this, even in those days, there were unsuccessful or barely successful trips - I know - I went on some to Kalbarri in the 1960's, but not much gets written about those. People could go there for two weeks and not catch many fish, the swell and stirred up sea conditions kept the fish out of reach of land bound fishers, or the fish simple weren't there that week - but came back the week later ----. Keep it in perspective guys. There were four or five of them, and they were there for two weeks, and from the story, they fished many days for no results.
