I am a worker in the UK studying the evolution of sharks and rays, and want jaws of modern relatives of early forms for research. Many of the most primative extant groups are now found only or mostly around Australia and are not easy for me to get. Can you help with jaws of any of the following?:
Jaws (and where they have them, fin and tail spines) of any carpet sharks, any cat sharks, any dogfish, any wobbegongs, especially juveniles, any angel sharks, especially juveniles, any skates, stingrays or stingarees. (I do not want whaler, mako etc).
Please do not kill anything for me that you were not going to eat anyway. If you can, I need to know the species, but a photo or brief note of the colour etc should do, also the sex if possible (does it have male clasper fins) and approx size. Cut out the jaws and dry or salt them. Do not bother about getting them clean and white- just so they don't smell in the post!
I can sort out postage costs etc.
Thanks,
