Hi TIM:
In point of fact, the line used is 'Berkley Fireline' in predominately 10 lb breaking strain. However, a few more game casters are using 8 lb.
The line is a 'fused line' as against a 'gel spun' line, in that it is a little stiffer in nature than the pure 'gel spun' lines.
