Posted by Andy Woodford I think that the State government should introduce a Recreational Fishing Licence and spend the revenue that's generated on buying back commercial fishing licences, educating fisherfolk in the skills of catch & release, bag and size limits and that sort of thing. Another thing that might cause some discussion..... I think that the majority of our current bag limits are way too high. Tailor should be a maximum of four a day, herring should be 10, salmon only 1 or 2 etc. My reason is that I generally fish for the sport, not the food. I'd like my grandchildren to be able to do the same. What are your thoughts on the points?
