I would be very pleased to hear from anyone who was based at the Royal Naval Transmitting Station between 1960 and 1963, also anyone from the Army who was resident at the East Pier cottages during that period. I was an R.E.M., later to be an L.R.E.M. and living at 'Wuthering Heights' with my wife, Yvonne and twin babies, Steven and Sandra. Lt. Harold (Lofty) Rimmer was O.I.C. followed later by Lt. Norman Hannam.
My father was a radio engineer in the Royal Navy and based on Stonecutters Island from 1958-1960 ish. He lived at 2, East Pier Flats and may have been a Petty Officer by that stage based at HMS TAmar. I was born at the military hospital in Honk Kong in 1959. My mother and father were Lyell (Steve) and Betty Stephens and they had a little boy (my brother) called Ian who was about 3 or 4 when they lived there. Did you know them at all?
