Just stumbled across this website. Worked at the Ammo Sub Depot (ASD) from Jul 89 until Apr 92. What a fantastic three years it was. Newly married, it was effectively an extended honeymoon. Wonderful people, wonderful island which was full of history and lots of fun. Regards

Hi, I would be very grateful if you could send me some photos of stonecutters...I lived there around 1975 for 2 years my dad worked in the ammo depo..his name is Ray Doran sometimes known as Pete...we were on the island with the Commerfords...Watsons....Tom Dobbins..The Inges...these are just some names I remember. I went to St Andrews school and my sister went to St georges....I have real fond memories of this place and would love to be able to show my daughters and husband what it was like as I have no photos and I'm sure they think I'm fibbing when I say it was like living in the jungle!!! many thanks Alison.

Hi, Like many ex islanders I stumbled across this site whilst surfing. I was there at the same time as Paul Fray and others whose names I have spotted in some threads. Please register me with the site, our son was born in HK and we left within weeks of his birth and have never returned. John B

Hi I am reseraching a soldier who was stationed on stonecutters island with 12 Coastal Regt, RA prior to the Battle of Hong Kong. I wonder if it is possible for me to have access to your forum basically to ask members questions on the island and if possible to view photographs of the island.
