Original records in the possesion of the Stoddard Family Association were unreadable. First it was assumed that Eleazer's father was David Stoddard but Between Charley Stoddard of Littleton, New Hampshire and Dan W Stoddard of Layton, Utah it was decided that what was aaumed to be David was actually Daniel which led them back to John Stodder of Hingham as the progenitor.
