Peter, Thanks for your reply. I haven't checked the message board in a few weeks, so I just saw the message. I think you would be close enough for comparison, as the family tree DNA testing compares only from several generations back (as I understand it). The problem is that a female cousin had contacted a male cousin who had said he was willing to be tested. Then when I tried to get the project started, she contacted him again and he never got back to her. I will try again because I really would like to get the project going. It may be the only way I can determine my Stoddard line, and it might be helpful to others with Stoddard ancestry as well. It's good to get sample DNA from as many lines as possible in order to help the greatest number of researchers. Again, I appreciate your interest, and I will contact you if I am successful in getting the project started.
