Would like to know more about my family

I would like to say first that I am not a Stoddard by blood, my father was adopted as a child. Having said that the Stoddard family is all I've ever know and I would like to find more information on my Grandfather and his family.
My Grandfathers name was Raymone Stoddard (forgive the spelling I'm not sure if it's right) who moved to Kentucky and passed on before I was born. He was in the Army and served in either WWI or WWII and married Mary Campbell.
From what I've been told he was from the Kansas area and was also estranged from his family.
I'm sorry to say that this is all the information I have.
If anyone has any information that could be helpful to me feel free to email me or you can post a reply.
