I have been reseaching my ancestors for a long time and believe that my ancestor Anthony Stoddard, who emigrated to Jamaica in abt.1670 may have been the son of William Stoddard,Anthony Stoddard of Boston,Mass (1636) ,brother back in england.So far I have his will which mentioned his sister Hester (Esther)Stodard who married James Cooke.Anthony came to Jamaica with John Cooke and Peter Stoddard,both his brother in law and possible brother respectively.Anthony's grandson , Capt.William Stoddard mentions a William Stoddard esqr.of Boston,Mass in 1742 as his kinsman and namesake.I would like it if someone else may have more information on both Anthony Stoddard of Jamaica and William Stoddard esqr. of Boston.
