Posted by John H Stoddard A far as is known currently there is no connection between Anthony Stoddard Of Boston and John Stoddard of Wethersfield, Conn. although some think that there may be a connection in England. We were in contact with a Jeanne Stoddard of London, England who traced Anthony's ancestors back to William Stoddard of Staffordshire, England. Unfortunately she died as the result of an auto accident so work on that line ceased.

The Stoddard Family Association has Anthony Stoddard's ancestry,in England, back to Hugh Stoddard born 1485. The earlier generations are somewhat sketchy.
