I am interested in starting a Stoddard DNA project, now that a male Stoddard cousin has been located and is willing to be tested. Since the clues point to my Stoddards being from the following line, I'm attempting to prove or disprove the connection through DNA: Anthony of Boston Soloman Anthony Gideon Gideon Amos Henry W. b. CT 1797 In order to compare my cousin's DNA results to the line, I need to locate a male Stoddard descendant from the above line (with as many of the above ancestors as possible in his direct line) who will volunteer to be tested. As I understand it, the DNA testing is very simple. A kit is mailed to the person and he simply swabs the inside of his mouth and mails the kit back. I am willing to pay for the person's testing, and if I can get a Stoddard project going there may be a reduced price for future Stoddards who would want to be tested. Seems there are quite a few Stoddards who have difficulty tracing their ancestry, so DNA testing may help many. If anyone reading this message is a male from along the above line, or if anyone knows a man who is, please let me know. John H. Stoddard gave me two names earlier, but one was no longer at the address and the other never replied to my letter. John also forwarded an e-mail from someone who was interested in Stoddard DNA. He was going to give me a list of some men who might want to be tested, but I haven't heard back from him. I would certainly appreciate help on this! Thanks very much. Brenda
