I am a descendant of David Stoddard, son of Reuben of New York State, a Revolutionary War soldier who moved to Monroe,Michigan as a widower after the war. He is buried in the Woodland Cemetery with full military honors by the Daughters of the American Revolution in 1970. He fathered a number of offspring but know of only a couple contacts of other descendants through this website and another attendee of the 1970 ceremony in Monroe,MI. She was from Iowa.
So where does John Stoddard come from, did he move to CT from another state, like New York? Got any leads?
