: I've discovered that I have a family
: connection to the Boy Scouts of America. My
: Uncle Ed writes:
:
:
: "Charles H. Stoddard was the second
: husband of Dad's mother's sister, Mary Jane
: Hill. He was the western sales
: representative of the Munsy Corp. in
: Chicago. He was a member of the Committee
: that founded the Boy Scouts of America about
: 1910. Some other members of this committee
: were Nicolas Murrary Butler, General Leonard
: Wood, and Ernest Thomas Seton. I remember
: 'Uncle Stoddard' visiting Annaoplis sometime
: in the '20's."
:
: Uncle Ed is my father's older brother; he
: edits a family newsletter which he sends out
: aperiodically during the year. As you have
: probably noticed, my Uncle Ed has an unusual
: way of describing family relationships.
: Charles H. Stoddard was my Uncle Ed's uncle,
: which makes him my great-great uncle. Mary
: Jane Hill (Uncle Stoddard's wife) was my
: great-great aunt, sister to my great
: grandmother Anna Marie Hill.
:
: Does anyone have this Charles H. Stoddard in
: his/her family tree?
:
: - George
