Two things I forgot to ask. When we drove from L.A. to N.Y. last year, we drove through a large area in California that state highway signs stated was "Stoddard Canyon".Does anyone have any information regarding the history of the canyon's name? Also, there has been a rumor in my family for as long as I can remember. There was supposed to be a "Stoddard Sword",ornante and inscribed with the name John Stoddard.Any information regarding this would be very interresting.,Thank you,,N.S.
