Hi, all,
I am looking for any information on this man named Mosely Stoddard. I can find him listed in the online database "Miltary Minutes of the Council of Appointments of State of New York, 1783-1821". He is listed as being from Genesee Co., NY and fought in the 77th Regiment as an ensign. The 77th was later organized into the 177th, still from Genesee Co., NY., where Mosely was a Captain of the Riflemen. Later still, part of the (old) 77th was reorganized into the 195th, where Mosely is listed as being a Major under Col. Norton S. Davis, and then made a Lieutenant Colonel in the 195th under Colonel Martin O. Coe. I would love to find out more about this Mosely from Genesee Co., NY. He was possibly born in 1768. Any help would be appreciated.
