Methods of Communication

My son David is 9 years old with an unbalanced translocation of 11/22. He has low muscle tone, mental retardation, and no speech. We are searching for the best ways of commincation - Sign Language, Picture Exchange, Talking Computer (Dynovox) ... Any advice is helpful. Thanks.
