Mosiac Trisomy22 and Downs

Hi. My son has 22q11 deletion or VCFS and we have a friend who's son had a baby boy born with Downs Syndrome. He's beautiful and while looking at him you'd never know it they have been given little info as of yet EXCEPT one doctor referred to it at Mosaicsism(sp?)Downs and and I was wondering the likely hood if any of you have ever heard of the two happening together? I want to be of help since my son is 7 and we have rec'd all kinds of help but don't want to misgiude her. Thanks!! Tracy
